Welcome to Huli'tun Health Society

At Huli'tun Health Society we serve Halalt First Nation and Lyackson First Nation to restore balance through a culturally holistic approach to health care that promotes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual harmony within all members living in the communities.

This site provides  information to our member communities on Huli'tun Health Society programs, services, and events happening within the communities.  All services that are offered are run by interdisciplinary teams which include nurses, care aides, community representatives, counsellors and support staff.

Quality of healthcare and service is the primary goal of each member of the staff.   We work together to provide the best possible health care services to our members to improve health, well-being and build on the strength of Halalt and Lyackson Nations.

Our Vision

Huli'tun Health Society's Vision for our member Nations is Nuts'umaut Shqwaluwun (Working Together as one from the heart) to maintain autonomy over our health programs and services for present and future generations .

Our Mission

  3. That all of our community members must be treated with respect, dignity and honesty, with special care paid to protecting confidentiality and supporting informed choice.
  4. That our staff should be valued, respected and supported in a safe healthy work environment
  5. That the Board of Directors and employees strive to have healthy bodies, minds and spirits in order to be  good role models for our communities
  6. That laughter is good medicine
  7. That our communities, language and culture are the foundation for healing and wellness in our communities, and that our Elders are our connection to our past and to our future
